What We Believe

We believe that the Bible is the inspired, trustworthy, authoritative Word of God.

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His atoning death on the cross through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

We believe that human beings are sinful and lost and that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for salvation.

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, indwelling Christians, empowering them to live Godly lives, to be effective witnesses, and gifting them to minister in the church and the world.

We believe in the resurrection of the body in the new creation.

We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Widow’s Walk is not associated exclusively with any one denomination or church body, meaning that we emphasize these essential beliefs, allowing for some diversity of opinion on the non-essential “debatable” issues. We are non-sectarian, in that we are supportive of, and cooperative with the Christian community at large.
